60-acre estate, organically-farmed Rhone and Italian varieties suited to our Mediterranean climate create terroir-driven wines. 2019 Aglianico, 2022 Bianco Del Campo released! Summer overnight shipping available until October.
This Syrah comes from our oldest vineyard located on our Benchland property. Planted in 1991, these vines consistently render small, thick skinned berries which provide distinct blackberry, bay leaf, and savory flavors that are different from any of our other Syrah blocks. It is also our most structured Syrah, which should age well for at least 10 years.
Our 2019 Zinfandel is really a throw back to a more structured Dry Creek Zin. The growing season allowed for even ripening. Ever since we re-planted Petite Sirah next to our Benchland Syrah vineyard, it has really improved our Zin, which is readily apparent in this 2019. Similar to George's beloved 2017 Zin, this '19 will develop nicely over the next 3 to 5 years. Outstanding vintage for our Zin!

43% Vermentino, 30% Fiano, 16% Biancolella and 11% Falanghina from our vines planted in 2018. These Italian varietals retain great acidity at peak flavor ripeness. This unconventional Italian white blend is aromatic, fruity, crisp and dry. The wine is fermented and aged in concrete and stainless steel tanks without malo-lactic fermentation to preserve acidity. It is an excellent glimpse into the future of California white wine!
Aglianico is easily the most distinguished Italian red very few folks know about. 2019 is our fourth vintage from vines planted in 2013. It has consistently produced dark color, complex fruit and spice while delivering a firm and full-bodied wine - one that can easily age up to 10 years, like the great Taurasi DOCG wines of Campania. This '19 Aglianico shows how the grape is THE ideal choice to replace Cabernet in Sonoma and Napa.
Segromigno is our unconventional version of a Super-Tuscan that has the fruit of Chianti Classico. The sangiovese is the grosso-clone (used in the famed Brunello di Montalcino) from 20-plus year old vines. Instead of using cabernet or merlot, we blend montepulciano to give the wine depth, richness and structure. While montepulciano is not grown in Tuscany, we think it is much more compatible than a Bordeaux grape because it has better acidity, and, well, its Italian. the low crop set in 2021 really gave our sangiovese more fruit and structure. Like a great Chianti, Segromigno is quite versatile with many foods, which might explain for it being our most popular red wine.
