2024 Picpoul Blanc

2024’s warmer summer and fall turned out to be a great year for this southern France Mediterranean varietal.  In years past, when the vintage warranted it, we only had enough Picpoul to blend into Cuvée Blanc.  In 2018, we planted an additional 0.50 acres and luckily have enough to bottle some Picpoul on its own.  The 2024 Picpoul shows its hallmark purity of delicate lemon, white citrus flower and a racy acidity and minerality that makes this wine ideal with seafood, particularly oysters. - JV
