2020 Petit Rosé
Vineyard: Estate grown, organically farmed vines planted in 1998.and 2007.
Blend: 100% Grenache Noir
Harvest dates: September 4th through September 19th
Winemaking: De-stemmed and pressed off the skins after a very limited skin contact (about an hour).Fermented and aged in a stainless steel tank.No malo-lactic fermentation in order to preserve natural acidity of Grenache.
Grenache grown in Dry Creek Valley tends to retain nice levels of natural acidity, and this Rosé really shows it. It has bright fruit and spice in a crisp Rosé-making it the perfect choice for summertime venues.
We call this Petit Rosé because it is our second bottling of Rosé from 2020. The first included 30% Mourvedre, which makes a fuller bodied style wine.
