2019 Aglianico

This 100% aglianico comes from a 2-acre vineyard located on the Benchland property, planted in 2013. 2019 was an excellent growing season, especially for our varieties that hail from the warmer European regions.

Our fourth vintage of Aglianco is very much in the style of the great Taurasi DOCG, which are considered the "Barolo of Southern Italy." It features very deep color, with incredible aromas of dried rose petals, prunes and spice. The ’19 vintage provided a bit riper fruit, allowing this wine to show well early. The wine is quite full-bodied with excellent fruit and the tannin structure to age at least 7 to 10 years.— MJU
