Cuvée Foudre, our version of a Chateauneuf du Pape-like Rhone blend, is consistently our most critically acclaimed wine. We use our best lots of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah and age them in a 620 gallon large oak cask the French call a "Foudre", which preserves fruit and vineyard character. 2019 was one of the best vintages we've had for Grenache and, especially Mourvedre, giving this wine a depth of fruit, spice and tannin structure found in our favorite French counterparts. Is the '19 our best Cuvée Foudre yet? You can decide. For me it is. It will easily age 5 to 8 years.
Excellent gift. Very limited supply!
