    Just opened your 2007 petite sirah. Tannins firm, acidity in tact, fruit delicious. Decanted because we were impatient. Mocha chocolate aromas and fruit silky smooth (we’ll sort of). Just drinking it, no need to chase down a steer in the back 40.
    By the way, your 2005 Syrah is still my benchmark best ever.

    That wine was not the easiest to make, as we had to sort through some shriveled fruit. Glad it is still drinking okay.

    I agree about the 2005 vintage for Syrah. Both Syrahs were and still are drinking great. Not bad for Dry Creek Valley Syrah. BTW, the 2012’s are a cross between the 2005 and 2007 vintages. – Mick Unti
